Matthew and Lea's Wedding Day

Gabriel and I were approached by Matthew and Lea to not only be their wedding photographers, but to also walk alongside them as they prepared for marriage by mentoring them in pre-marital counseling sessions. We were very honored to be asked for both of these roles, and looked forward with them to their very special day.

Matt and Lea have been blessed by a circle of loving family and friends, including Steve and Kristy Roberts who generously opened their lovely home for the outdoor wedding celebration. Those of us who live in Washington take weather very seriously, and we were so pleased when Saturday appeared with beautiful skies and comfortable summer temperatures. Everything was perfect!

Matt and Lea were generous to give me some of their time to take a few fun pictures in the Mini-convertible they borrowed from a friend as their getaway car. I had heard about a photographic technique that was made for this set-up: while I sat on the trunk with my camera and a fish-eye lens, Matt and Lea drove off down the road at speeds up to 30 mph. I used a slow shutter speed to get motion blur on the sides of the car. I think it turned out great, and no one was harmed in the making of these images. :-)

It seems that the longer I do this, the harder it is to limit the number of images I post from weddings...so family and friends of Matt and Lea, stay tuned, and I'll have a new slideshow for you soon.

Matt and Lea, congratulations! May you find much love, laughter, peace and joy in the journey you've just begun. Blessings to you!

Lorraine -
just like the engagement photo series you took of Matt and Lea, these Wedding Day photos are also top notch. I appreciate your committment to quality and ALL of your family's involvement in the photography process.

As I look through the various photos, I find myself re-living the moments of that day...

I look forward to seeing more photos and slideshows of Matt and Lea.

Thank-you all very much

Sharon - you are very welcome! Our family is blessed to do something together that we all love. It means so much to know that the images we capture touch the hearts of family and friends.

Gary - thank you for such a wonderful compliment! It's a good feeling to know that you enjoyed our work and feel they will be a blessing to Matt and Lea. I'm looking forward to seeing their wedding album come together, as they have so many beautiful images to document their day. Thanks!

Rick - thank you for mentioning this was a family involvement, for that is so true...I couldn't do this without the assistance and support of each of my family members. We appreciated your enthusiasm for our work and enjoyed spending Matt and Lea's wedding day with you. I look forward to sharing more images with you soon!

Matt and Lea - Que pasa contingo? Como esta el mar y sol in Mexico? Y la playa? Quisiera estar alli! (Okay, so I had Gabriel help me with the last part, but the first part was all me!) We trust you're having a fabulous time on your honeymoon. Your wedding slideshow is finished and ready to share with your family and friends...once you return, that is!

Blessings to all,
Lorraine
