We were guests!

Today our family had the rare pleasure of being guests at the wedding of my cousin's son Ben and his lovely bride Sally. In one sense, it was a different experience in that there was no pressure on us to capture their day, but yet that didn't stop me from thinking about all the wonderful photo opportunities before me. It soon became apparent I wasn't alone in this sentiment...my mom was also a guest at the wedding, and I think she caught more action with her new digital camera than I did! This is my mom photographing the action behind me...

This is what I love about weddings...being re-united with family that I haven't seen in years. I finally was able to persuade my mom to set down her camera long enough so that I could take a few pictures of her with my dad, my uncle and my aunts.

So not only are weddings a great time for reunions, they're also a great time to meet new family members! This is my cousin David's granddaughter, Elena. She has the most expressive eyes and the cutest dimples!
