Victoria & Joel's Engagement Session

This morning Alyssa and I had the fun of spending time with Victoria and Joel for their engagement photo session. Even though we're in the middle of January, we were blessed with a perfect day for taking pictures (even if it was a little on the cold side!). We started off the morning at Alki beach - a location filled with interesting places for a photo op. Victoria and Joel have such an easygoing way with each other, not to mention the love that they share, that it made our jobs so easy.

Unknown to us, we startled this little baby sea lion (?) when we stepped onto his beach to take some pictures. He was so cute, but once he took a look at us, it was back into the water and fast!

The nautical theme is pretty cool...

Our next location was the Seattle Public Library, a very cool place and the first time I've ever taken pictures there. One whole floor is completely red...red walls, red floors, red ceilings...that was cool! I regretted that I did not have my video light with me, as the area was so dark, so we placed Joel and Victoria directly underneath the recessed lights and here was the result:

The only time we got reprimanded from the security guard was when we instructed Victoria to hop up on the wall to try and incorporate the architecture with some fun shots. It was worth it. :-)

Victoria and Joel, thank you for inviting us into your lives during this time and letting us participate with you in capturing moments that will be remembered for years to come. Blessings to you!
